Yes or No?

In the upcoming PvP arenas for Bosses of Warcraft, should there be traps which gives advantages/disadvantages?
Example:
Event: Someone walks on a foot switch
Condition: None
Action: Fire a rocket towards point A

What do you think?

No
BoW feels like a highly competetive game, traps make it casual and cheesy.
The only reason i use traps in my upcoming arena maps is that they are synced with the games two key abillities.
If traps, make it because its vital to the game, and easy to understand, also make it consistant throughout the maps (Thinking bloodline champions energy beacon)

No

BoW is a PvE game wheter you want it or not and if you try to make it a pvp game it will probebly be as balensed as HoL is. I think it's a huge waste of time to put down time on PvP since you would have to remake basicly all heroes so I need to vote for no.

the pvp system is balanced, iv played it many times and it can be 3dpsers vs 2dps 1healer etc, every team has a chance of winning if.
its all about beeing better the your team and earn your win, puting power-ups would ruin that.

Only thing that the PvP system needs is map selection. (Map making in progress!)
So, yeah all it needs is new maps and the pvp is better then good to go =)

So, the PvP..... Is it coming soon or should we put a damn poll up? because i wanna have that Tournament we were suppose to have.... but never did :S

pvp is a nice idea only thing is that a well equipped ranged dps is killing everything before a melee dps has a chnace to react. for example the mage. he can make himself invisible cast a bunch of spells on one target and then goes invis again so a 3 player mage team can eliminate other times quickly(cons mage hasnt very much hp 1 hit from an oppenent and u need luck to survive). i would say create a new mode where u get a rndm character(healer dps tank) for a group of 5(cause there are not so much 5 player bosses). with this mode i dont mean something like healer is a priest or druid, i mean that there a 3 new classes u only get in this "minigame" and then u have to make as much dmg and survive as long as possible(like fighting a dummy which u cant kill) and at the end you are getting mats btw gold.

u maybe create a score on the forum page for the best 5player teams and try to beat them at a competition we have every week then.

If he don't balance that it'll probably be a rmk once you don't get the imba new char that can heal everyone in the group for 2 million and make the invulnerable to all damage for 2 hours.

I agree, no traps... it makes the game more based on luck that you dont hit something bad..., this is a skill-based game.

If you're actually gonna implent traps, implent visible traps, that you can use with skills, I'd suggest that on PvP mode you get a PvP mode character, which is based on the boss characters and that can use the same items, but also PvP items. add resilience, PvP spells and PvP stats. An example on how traps could be used, let's say that a warrior have a 'push' abillity where he charges target with hes shield and knocks him into a pit with spikes in that kills the target instantly.

Well i dont rly understand why we rly wanna add this? i mean TRAPS .... one push spell bamm the trap release...
Not even fun with traps...

I'd say we'll go for the ordinary PvP first, basics et.c. and then we can consider adding traps.

I dont think there should be any traps period, traps would make pvp more based on luck, then skill/effort.
