RavH, RavE, RavJ. Empty
PostSubject: RavH, RavE, RavJ.   RavH, RavE, RavJ. EmptyTue Jun 14, 2011 1:28 am

Excuse the title, I had no idea what to type so I went kind of straightforward. Basically, we have Ravenholdt, the main clan.
Then there is RavE, Ravenholdt Elite. My suggestion now is that we add a third clan, RavJ, Ravenholdt Junior. Excuse the name, it will surely be changed if this suggestion is ever added.
Now, we haven't even gotten RavE going yet, so I'm sure this won't be added in a while, if anything.
But the reason this would be a good idea is to separate the newer ones from the ones that are used to BoW to the ones that are
rather good at it.
Basically, when you first join Ravenholdt, you join Ravenholdt Junior, RavJ. You stay there and play there until the chieftan/shamans there deem you worthy of being sent to the main Ravenholdt, RavH. Once you are there, you've joined Ravenholdt for real. If you still want to play with better people, you'd have to work really hard and truly prove yourself worthy of being sent to the Elites, RavE.
Yes, this would be slightly complicated, but it would separate the ones who can't really play from the ones that can reach halfway through the bosses. Since, and I hope this does not sound way too selfish, I have been playing tons of games with the new people in the clan, and we barely beat the first 10man boss. Sure, they need to learn, but I find it rather annoying that we can't reach Twintrix just because of way too many noobs. Basically, three clans would enable people to play with people on their level.
Hopefully people won't rage at this and hopefully people will actually understand this.

I really like the idea, we need more members to make it reality tho.

Yes, it would be best to make it after RavE, since that would atleast start to separate the best from the decent.
The one thing that would create a problem is that there are already tons of people in RavH that should be in RavJ, say if it actually existed. And that could create some problems. Leaving them there would make them play with people who are better than them, which could piss the betters off. While sending them down could make them mad, since they were in RavH and are now in the "worst" Ravenholdt clan, RavJ.
Since my idea with the whole "Ravenholdt Junior" clan was that those who were there were there to learn, not to gain the greatest items in the game and whoop Petrius with 0 deaths. That would be a job for the RavE.

i dont think creating something like ravj is a good idea cause then the better ones will play together, the normal ones will play together and the "juniors" are lost cause they dont know much about the game and need to learn first. other thing wasnt there a something like 80 members for ravh elite? if u want to split the main clan a third time we need much more member that this makes sense.

Kinda agree that... Ravh Junior wouldnt understand alot if they dont play with us taht knowes alot more than them about the game
so it would take alot more time for them to learn than playing with us

You have not understood the point of RavJ then. They will have a chieftan and several shamans that will be able to teach them.
In RavJ you are not supposed to, as I stated above, whoop Petrius with 0 deaths. You are in RavJ because you are new, and you barely even know the game. You play in RavJ until the chieftan thinks you can play good enough. Basically, once you've actually learned your spells of your class, once you know this and that about BoW, once you can do that, once you can do this, THEN you are ready to be sent to RavH.
Once again, RavJ is for noobs. Not people who are old veterans at BoW, not the ones who have level 30 prof and the best items in the game. No, it's for NOOBS. The newest players head there to LEARN. See it like school, you have the teachers, the principal and the students.
So to summarize(is that how you spell it?)it all: Pure, they will be playing with "us that know alot more than them about the game", that's what their chieftan and their shamans are for. Hotandcold, I'm quoting you now:

"i dont think creating something like ravj is a good idea cause then the better ones will play together, the normal ones will play together and the "juniors" are lost cause they dont know much about the game and need to learn first."

The Elites will play together. The main RavH will play together. The juniors will play together, with their chieftan and their shamans.
I don't understand what you mean about them "being lost". I mean, sure, they don't know the game, they can be called "lost", but that is the SOLE purpose of RavJ, to TEACH them. For example, the first time you played BoW, did you really reach 100k damage on that mage? Did you get 200k healing as a druid? Were you able to tank every single boss as Warrior without losing a single teammate? No. You made mistakes. You lost that aggro for a split second which gained your team a death. You lost focus for a split second and missed a healing on your warlock, who died right after. You misclicked and accidently sent your spell on Tidalguy's Water Elementals instead of sending it on him, which made your team lose since you were the last one alive against a 300 hp Tidalguy. And that is what RavJ is for. Right now, in RavH, you have the noobs, the decent players and the elites, they're all mixed up. When RavE is created you'll still have the decent players and the noobs, and that might make you lose a bossfight due to your shaman not placing his totems. Had RavJ been there, he could've practiced with people at his level and learned when and how to place totems, then when he joined RavH he would've had the ONE thing you need to succeed in BoW; Experience.

Hopefully this will change your mind about the whole "RavJ" idea. Yes, there are weak spots in it, but that's why this won't happen in the coming weeks. We first have to create RavE, THEN we can start considering how exactly to go with RavJ.

Once again, this is but an idea. If it is made real, noobs would have it easier, without the whole pressure of having to make 0 mistakes, unless you'd want people to rage at your for forgetting to heal that Warrior.

Thanks for reading, either way.

Simple way to fix this.. keep some experience clan RavH members in RavJ to teach the juniors how to play and get them geared up for RavH.

Edit: The experienced RavH members would be volunteers of course.. not forced.

And that is, as I've been saying, where the chieftan and the shamans of RavJ come into the picture. THEY will be the ''experienced people'' who will teach the RavJ members how to play, how to use every spell in the most efficient way.

omg calm down. but do you really want to split this clan into 3 clans? a normal clan and RE is enough and first keep in mind that we need more members before we can think about creating RE. and then we need enough for ravj. in addition u can learn bow fast if u want so we need all the time 10 members at ravj. and if we dont get new users all the time ravj will be canceled anyway and nobody who wants to play bow will stay at ravj only to keep it alive.

You've clearly not understood the point, even though I explained it. Read the first post again, please. I clearly pointed out that this would take TIME. It would take time to make RavJ, and first we'd have to make RavE, but that it was something that could be the next project. Gzus dude, are you even reading what I'm typing? No point in arguing with you otherwise.
Yes, you can learn bow fast, but can you master it quickly? No. It takes time. And even if you can learn it fast, what you learn is merely the basics, what spells you have, the different modes, the bosses, etc. The point of RavJ is to learn it with people your level.
And RavJ is not aiming for 9001 members. Members in RavJ are supposed to aim for RavH. Not stay in RavJ. RavH will be their primary goal. If we don't get tons of members to it, there is no serious issue. As long as we have atleast 10.
RavH used to be rather small too, you know. Mostly the same people each game, and that was GOOD since you learned to play with those, you got used to their way of playing, you could easily know what they would do and so foresee what YOU would have to do.
I'm just going to stop right here and hope that, this time, you will actually read.

I guess you still didn't read the part where CrowZ said that RavJ will take a long while to make, we still have to make RE. Want to buy literacy rate of atleast 2% in this clan.
