 Friendly NPC in boss fights.

So one thing I've notice there's in no boss fight is a friendly NPC. I would recomand NPC:s that are from the warcraft games and are famous which would inrease the positive fealing of having them on your side. I would also suggest NPC:s that are good fighters and are known for their achivments.

Some NPC:s that would fit perfect toghether in a boss fight are

*the sisters Sylvanas, Veressa and Aleria Windrunner.
*Warchief Thrall and Gromash Hellscream
*Jaina Proudmoure and Arthas Menthil
*Vol'Jin and Cairne Bloodhoof
*Tyrande, Malfurion and Maiev

Of these suggestion I would recomend the Windrunner sisters. Even tho Sylvanas is the only one who really is famous I think people would both be suprised and enjoy that Sylvanas have two sisters and also like to have them at their side.

I agree, Rexxar and Hes bear Mischa i think its spelled would be a great combo to. after all, hes one of the Orc's (Mok nathal) responsible for the horde's Survival.

Make up a boss scenario and I create it for BoW. Just make sure that all of the classes's ascpects can be used in various of ways in order to make the boss kneel to his defeat abit more fun.

And no Aikola, Narolak has already been figured out so no players will interrupt the might of the Blood Council... just yet ^^

Fine.

Veressa has recently found out that the fire elemental Garr has taken a huge number of Blood elves hostage she contacts her sister Aleria whoms location she only reaveled to her two sisters however when she found out that Sylvanas had turned into a undead she changed location and reaveled it only to Veressa. Sylvanas did however have some agents within the Kirin Tor to gain some information about her sister so when Veressa sumoned Aleria she became curios and she stalked them and managed to find out that they where heding to defeat Garr. When they reached the entrance Sylvanas reaveled herself and offered her assistance. Veressa and Alleria trusted her, even tho she was a undead. After gaining the assistance of 5 champions (or 10 depends on the difficult you want to make this dungound to) they manage to kill Garr and free all prisoners. However when they are freed Sylvanas turnes her sisters and the blood elfs into undeads using the help of the Val'Kyrs. Before the champions can do anything she teleports her and her new servents out of there with the last thing you're hearing is her laugh.

That is not how I meant.

Make it simple, what is the boss, boss abilities, boss room looks like, what difficulty 5man or 10man and so on.

Lore will be created for BoW abit later and not right now therefor there must not be any reason for different aspects.

Well since I've told you he's a fire elemental you should make look like maybe the inside of a volcano. If you dont know how there is a pretty good tutorial how to make lava in WE. So okej maybe like this:

Ability 1:
Garr damages all players X damage and then an extra Y damage for every yard awey they are from him. He casts this spell every Z second.

Ability 2:
Garr summons X lesser fire elementals that have Y HP and do Z damage.

Ability 3:
Garr shots a flaming blast at a random spot in the room dealing X damage every Y second. The blast starts to rotate at Z speed and the blast ends after A seconds.

What difficulty I actually answered and I said does it really make any diffrence exept 10 man is harder to balance? I would prefer 5 man tho.

Explain with more details and make some kind of paint image of the boss room. X, Z, Y and all other variables must be reseted with actual data even tho it wont be balanced it is easier for me to understand what you are trying to do. After that I can balance it myself.

As for ability 3, I did not quite understand.

Ability number 3 is as a small pillar of fire that he shots at a random place in the rome which then start to move around dealing damage.

I need to send it over skype cuz every time I uplod it it becomes smaller then small.

Ability Number 1: Easy to code in vJASS
Ability Number 2: Wow, this is even easier to code in GUI too, And sorta copy cat from first boss.(BTW, might not even be worth coding unless you want random locations)
Ability Number 3: Hmm... tricky to make the ability spin, and you did not really explain why it would spin. I mean, it seems to me it's just for show. Maybe do something like it's a spiral on the ground that explodes at X speed, dealing Y damage per explotion and lasts for Z seconds. It is something that's not created within the boss fights, and leaves a sort of awerness as it's probably a one-shot, one-kill ability(OFC it has to be "easy" to avoid, or atleast not too hard")

Yes, this is all reviewed from a coders perspective.

Good to hear I was trying to make something easy up and even tho flame blast isnt for beginers it's not to hard I think.

When i first heard this topic i thought you meant to make boss fights where you have a allied NPC that helps you, like the illidan battle in WoW if i remember right.

I don't think that I will use these specific characters. I do not want to interfare with the Wc3 Lore.

However I like the boss design and all of that so... I'll think something out.

No but seriusly if you dont want to have anything to do with warcraft lore why do you have Jaina Proudmore, Malfurion Stormrage and Rokhan better yet why is your map called Bosses od WARCRAFT? But seriosly I think everyone actually enjoys that you have Jaina, Rokhan and Malfurion so why dont you want to use any more then them?

And adeab I dont know if you're pointing on Eye of Eternity or the Occulus. But yes I have been trying to talk Blizzard into making another of those raids again (to no sucess).

No the true abomination in warcrafts lore is that Malygos dies. I mean seriusly he was probebly as strong as Deathwing and 10 people where able to kill him. EPIC FAIL!

Deathwing deafeated Malygos 2 times to my count and both times where because had the dragons soul which contained the powers of all the dragon aspects. And yet Malygos survived both times, why. Because he is stronger then the comined powers of himself, Deathwing, Alexstrasza, Ysera and Nozdormu.

Adding some random NPC could just ruin the idea of this great and lovely game.

How 'bout healers, they get some NPC nabs to heal. I think they could anyway keep eye on the teammates, not at some random NPC guys.
The NPC guys on the friendly side could be just useless, unless Sverker does them epicly op with thousands and thousands of HP.
And after that, a little bunch a dmg couldn't be much, when they gets down fast anyway.

Okey so to my count 4 people likes the idee of a friendly NPC and you hate it balloon so 80% of the clan is against you Razz

And yes we get it and when Malygos died i became pissed of 2. I mean Malygos is infinite times more man then Thrall ever were.
